Mycoses vaginales et vinaigre de cidre

Vaginal yeast infections and apple cider vinegar

3 minutes

The pleasures of women's life also offer us the joys of vaginal yeast infections.

Apparently, one in two women has already had at least one in her life.

In addition to the itching, burning sensations and odor, mycosis can also be very painful for women who suffer from it.

So obviously, the question arises about natural remedies and methods to prevent these gynecological problems. We are increasingly turning to natural methods which would ultimately be more effective in terms of prevention.

To begin with, what is a vaginal yeast infection and what are the symptoms?

Vaginal thrush, also known as vaginal candidiasis, is a common fungal infection that affects the vaginal area in women. Symptoms may include itching, burning, pain, and a thick, white vaginal discharge that resembles cottage cheese.

Common causes of vaginal yeast infection are an overgrowth of the fungus Candida albicans, which is normally found in the vagina in small amounts. Factors that can contribute to an overgrowth of Candida albicans include antibiotics, hormones, birth control, chronic illness, and a weakened immune system.

Treatment for vaginal yeast infection may include topical or oral antifungal medications, such as clotrimazole cream, fluconazole, or itraconazole. It is also important to adopt healthy habits, such as wearing cotton underwear, avoiding douching, eating a healthy, balanced diet, and avoiding potential irritants such as perfumes or scented soaps. If symptoms persist despite treatment, it is recommended to see a healthcare professional for further diagnosis and treatment.

Now that you know how to recognize a vaginal yeast infection, let's talk about prevention.

To begin with, avoiding mycoses also means avoiding sugar because it will feed the bacteria and make them proliferate. If you can't do without your little chocolate, don't panic, we have a solution for you!

Do you know about apple cider vinegar? Apple cider vinegar is a natural antimicrobial that kills bacteria and prevents their proliferation, whether in your vagina for vaginal mycoses, or in your bladder for recurring urinary tract infections.

But then how do you use apple cider vinegar the right way?

To start your treatment properly, all you need is your Archie cider vinegar, a large glass of water and an empty stomach in the morning.

You dilute a tablespoon in a large glass of room temperature water and drink it. Wait a good 15 minutes before having breakfast.

Why will apple cider vinegar help you with your vaginal yeast infections?

Well, quite simply for its antibacterial actions and its acidity.

Fungus doesn't like to grow in an acidic environment so your yeast infection won't appear for a while.

Once in the blood, cider vinegar alkalizes it, so your pH is adapted and your vaginal flora will recover from its emotions.

Besides these aspects, apple cider vinegar is also full of natural prebiotics.

We need it in our microbiota for a balanced flora.

Often, vaginal mycosis occurs following a disruption of this flora, often unbalanced. This can happen after antibiotic treatment or just a hormonal disruption. Don't panic, with cider vinegar every morning, you will see the difference!

*To date, there are no published French scientific studies on the benefits of cider vinegar. To fill this information gap, Archie has formed a Scientific Committee dedicated to providing the greatest possible transparency regarding the benefits of cider vinegar.
